There was an episode of a sitcom in which the father used an analogy of serving up a steak dinner on a garbage can lid to explain to his daughter's fiancé why the family was having difficulty accepting the engagement. People like this woman remind me of the lesson I learned from that: Presentation is just as important, if not more so, than what is being presented. Nobody was going to take what she had to say seriously as long as she was being disruptive, even if she had a legitimate point.
