  4. When I heard that explanation and saw the picture of the wrapped foot, I immediately thought "gout". Gout affects the joints in your foot and can be exacerbated by diet.

  5. What I was trying to point out is that the description of his affliction matches up with a real medical condition. I never claimed I believed or disbelieved that Manafort is actually suffering from it.

  8. @inkoftheworld: Oddly enough, whether it was due to it never crossing their minds or naively thinking that nobody would attempt it, the framers of the Constitution didn't address the possibility of someone obtaining the Presidency through nefarious means.
