  2. 4:30 -- A political editor should know better than to frame his opinion as if the Electoral College just up and decided to award votes to Trump on a whim. The electors (with a handful of exceptions) cast their votes based on which candidate won the statewide popular vote of the state the electors represented. As much as I would wish the prevailing candidate hadn't been either Trump or Clinton, I can't say that the Electoral College didn't operate as set up in the Constitution,
