In 2010, at Germany's biggest live show "Wetten dass" (that means "I'll bet"), stunt performer Samuel Koch bet that he could jump over cars running at him with the use of bounce stilts. Koch mistimed one of the jumps and a terrible accident happened on live TV. Still today, he is paralyzed from the neck down. The show's host, Thomas Gottschalk, quit after that accident.
