  1. If your country doesn't displace other countries' values, those other countries' values will displace your own country's. England and its descendent America have been able to displace other countries' values because they have been the chief economic, military, and (hence) cultural and political authority since 1800. If China or Russia or Islam is allowed to displace the Anglosphere, prepare to live in a world that conforms to China or Russia or Islam's values - and all of those societies are authoritarian, paternalistic, and unfree. China and especially Islam are woefully uncreative societies, it seems to me, and all of them lack fundamentals of property rights (China has only achieved its economic growth through a symbiotic relationship with the West). Left to their own devices, China and Russia and Islam's cultural values would produce a diminished world.
