I agree with most of the stuff said here, but when the guest said "nationalize big pharma", I immediately realized why the left, no matter how well meaning, does not have the solution to our problems. With how corrupt the government is, how on earth is handing this rotten industry over to the government going to help anything? You guys are great and all, you see the problems and call them out the same as the populist right does, but sometimes your solutions really suck.

@spudtaters8419 When a large corporation is working with the government to get special treatment we call it "corruption". When the government directly controls an entire industry and outlaws any competition, that is called "socialism". We should be making every effort to separate the state from profit making enterprises, lest we create monopolies over entire industries where you are forced to use only the state approved service.
