  1. Agreed. It's one of the things I'll never agree with progressives on. I'm more than happy to find unity in other areas, but open borders is a stupid policy for many reasons. One other thing, I think we already spend a lot on social services. We need to cut back government spending across the board, even with being taxed to death, the amount of tax revenue still doesn't keep up with government spending, causing the national debt to rise. One way or another, American citizens are going to be paying for that.

  3. I agree with actual left wing populist on a lot of things, especially when it comes to criticizing the uniparty establishment. However, I always found it annoying that many insist on policies which are very obviously bad ideas. We are currently seeing the consequences of huge amounts of illegal immigration and high government spending. The former is a worsening drug war, as well as more poor, borderline indentured servants who benefit only the rich who pay them substandard wages. You'd think that argument would have some sway with progressives. And for unchecked welfare spending, excessive government spending in general, combined with state mandated economic lockdowns, is what got us into our current recession in the first place. I understand the empathetic drive for more social spending, but we badly need cuts in order to balance our budget, or else our inflation rates will continue to rise and lead to further economic hardships.

  4. @Nick Lattimore Comedy Yeah, agreed. But our current administration is both not enforcing the border and also using our money to bomb foreign countries.
