  1. josh fritz Was there a reason why navies didn't generally use torpedo boat tenders to extend the range and endurance of torpedo boat squadrons? I would think that large torpedo boats capable of operating effectively at sea, supplied with fuel, ammunition and torpedo reloads from a dedicated supply ship could make an effective raiding force.
