I've seen leftists work really hard trying to make a definition of fascism that doesn't also perfectly describe Marxism.

@vcxz5248 Fascism is literally directly based on Marxism. There is more emphasis on nationalism in fascism, but you see plenty of historical examples of marxist nations acting a lot like fascist ones. The Soviet Union was communist, yet it adopted nearly all of the values you mentioned as setting fascism apart from marxism. Both are far-left authoritarian collectivist ideologies which have killed millions. German funny mustache man wrote a lot about "the jews", and his writings sound strikingly similar to Marx's criticism of the bourgeoise. When you consider that Stalin directly blamed the Jewish people for creating class differences and accused them of being bourgeoise, the actual practical differences between the two are minimal. Germany largely targeted the jewish people for the same reason that the Soviets targeted the bourgeoise, they were seen as hording wealth for themselves to the detriment of the rest of society.

@vcxz5248 "Laissez-faire capitalism"... fascism? Do you just have absolutely no idea what these terms mean? Laissez-faire capitalism is the libertarian model of capitalism with very minimal government intervention. Fascism advocates for a socialist style planned economy. Instead of direct state ownership, fascism allows a privileged set of individuals to control entire economic sectors, enjoying state mandated monopolies under the condition that they remain loyal to the party and act as extensions of the state's will. The economic side of fascism has been described both by fascists themselves as well as third parties (both critical and non-critical ones) as being corporatist in nature. In short, fascism uses the same style of corporatist system that modern socialist superpowers like China and the USA do. Nothing about their economic system could be described as anything close to "laissez-faire capitalism." They allowed "private property", but this was always conditional upon party loyalty, and could be revoked at the whim of the party, very similar to the modern day CCP.

@vcxz5248 Again, not what Laissize Faire means, but sure. Modern marxism has also been adapted since capitalism has proven itself the best system. Nowadays "class" has been replaced with "race" and "gender" because class anger just isn't there since capitalism is by far the best system we have created so far.
