  5. Dude, you should do an episode on Ernest E Evans of the USS Johnston. He swore an oath never to back down from a fight, and he lived up to it for sure. He and his small squadron of destroyers (light escort ships, much smaller than cruisers and battleships) took on a much larger, more powerful fleet of Japanese warships, and caused so much damage before being sunk that the Japanese admiral was convinced he was fighting the main US task force composed of ships on par with his own, and called off his own force after taking heavy losses at the hands of the much smaller US task force. Evans is a total badass, and there are some really memorable lines and scenes from that battle that deserve to be remembered.
