  4. nearly everyone says that i am wrong, pessimistic and wrong for maintaining low expectations for everything in life. i said wrong twice because everyone thinks i'm very wrong for thinking this.

  6. we should accept that our own points of view are often limited. i often find myself disagreeing with others, be them liberals, conservatives, gays or straights, but i will absolutely hear their argument, and will never support silencing their voice because i disagree with their beliefs.

  7. if we could, using technology we have 100 years from now, create a virtual world with thinking, self aware programs that need not necessarily understand or even be aware of the nature or existence of their creator, how can we say for certain that the same was not done to us? if our self aware creations one day outnumber us, would it not be mathematically improbable to assume that we have no self aware creator? i will never claim to be sure that god does or does not exist, but as a science enthusiast, i refuse to rule out a possibility that has not yet been disproven.

  8. i wish people would be more open to new ideas and use logic to compare their own knowledge with new knowledge and trying to understand why then conflict occurs and begin to understand the reasons for each other's point of view.
