@politicamufu648 Libertarians are not corporatist, they are capitalists. Basically, the economic theory is that free market competition (as opposed to government favoritism) would allow competitors to rise into prominence, reducing the relative power of corporations. In short, libertarians are against corporate monopolies, but their methods of dealing with them do not involve the heavy handed regulations that leftists are familiar with.

It's okay to be Anglo Saxon

@notme8232 Monopolies can't form if competition exists to undercut their prices. The free market has natural protections against price gouging and other abusive practices.

Rome didn't exist, men can get pregnant, socialism never killed anyone...

@hikelfin5941 You've never left your bubble.

I would describe Fascism and Nazism as being culturally right wing, but economically left wing. Both are economically very close to communism, and they even share come cultural elements, but the primary point of divergence is in culture. All three are socialist ideologies which share a common origin. They can be thought of as sister ideologies much the same as there are different branches and sects of religions.

Nazis are leftists because I'm a libertarian and everything I don't like is socialism

This kind of bullshit actually pisses me off. People re-writing history to fit their own narrative, trying to appropriate someone else's history is completely unacceptable. If you want to create racism, this is how you do it. Steal a culture's history from them.

The American left are totalitarian socialists, and to them, anyone who opposes totalitarian socialism is evil, and therefore a "fascist".

@mksmike Modern monopolies are maintained by the government. Lobbyists bribe government officials to regulate the industry in such a way as to effectively ban or neuter the competition until only the wealthiest corporations remain in that industry.

@hikelfin5941 Corporations bribe the government to increase regulations in their field that make it impossible for competitors to even enter the field. The more permits and regulations and taxes on a given field, the wealthier you have to be to enter that field, and the more monopolized it becomes.

@hikelfin5941 You don't know a thing about economics. Sorry, you're not just uninformed, you're heavily misinformed.

@nicorybakov7539 They like limited government, free speech and civil rights, just like the fascists!

@hikelfin5941 Heh, thanks for the laugh.
