  1.  @commentingisawasteoftime7195  Self described neo-liberals are far-left and often outright in favor of socialist policies. Classical liberalism fits what you're describing pretty well, favoring free markets and privatization of industry. Neoliberalism is... not that. Perhaps it was at some point, but few self described neoliberals in the US today are anything close to classical liberalism. They are very statist, pro-war, and want many industries to be made public.

  2.  @KillerTruffle  If some asshole breaks into my house and steals my gun, then murders someone with it, I don't give a shit how I stored it, I am NOT going to prison for that. I will never go willingly to prison for a crime someone else committed. I'm all for personal responsibility, but punishing the victim of a crime is a horrific precedent to set.

  5. I don't know that that's the case. I am strongly against infringing on any constitutional right, but it's just that 2nd ammendment violations seem the most common these days. I can't recall talking to any libertarians or conservatives who don't strongly support free speech, and I can only think of maybe two who are more lax about privacy (both conservatives). Liberals are a mixed bag. Old school classical liberals are generally in favor of upholding our constitutional rights, but these borderline Marxist neo-liberals are pure scum, and outright support disarmament, censorship, violation of privacy and medical mandates.

The fact that abuse of authority like this, funded by the extortionary practice of taxation is the norm, this is enough to make my blood boil. The state needs to fuck off.
