  1. "Woke" is the colloidal term for critical theory. Basically, Marxists infiltrated liberal institutions and started corrupting the ideology with Marxist ideas specifically tailored to exploit the vulnerabilities of liberalism. Instead of being about class struggle, woke Marxists talk about race, gender and identity struggle. This is why they frame anyone who isn't as sad and miserable as them as being oppressors, racist, sexist, homophobic, etc. Most people who believe in woke ideology are not familiar with the Marxist origins of the ideology, and many people who are critical of it are not either.
