  1. batman is by far the better character, hands down, end of story. superman would almost always win in a straight up fight. composite batman might stand a chance against batman in one of his weaker (new 52?) portrayals, but keep in mind that composite batman is on the verge of superhuman anyways. he is a master of every martial art known to the world and a few that aren't, has all the gadgets of iron man and boba fett put together, and his genius intellect alone is a superpower in it's own right. heck, one version even had batman acquiring a yellow power ring, and knowing how skilled he is at inspiring fear in the enemy, that puts him somewhere on the same level as supes. comics have him piloting everything from bat subs to starfighters, and he regularly goes toe to toe with significantly more powerful enemies and wins. some versions of him even have access to kryptonite weaponry.
