  1. honestly, while this may very much have occurred in the past, such a blatant violation of civil rights is unlikely to occur in the future as we continue towards a world where inequality is becoming a more commonly talked about and acted upon issue. while i in no way intend to disvalue the struggles of oppressed women, past or present, most developed countries treat both genders with at least a basic level of dignity, although their individual expectations may vary.
