the united states's weapons are far superior to north korea's. the M1 abrams tank could curb stomp a dozen imported pieces of crap without a problem. only modern tanks like the t-90, challanger 2, leopard 2, the new armata, and a handful of other main battle tanks could stand against it. our aircraft would easily wipe the floor with the north korean warfare, we have more F-22 raptors than north korea has fixed wing fighter aircraft total, and the F-22 can single handedly kill several enemy fighters without being detected. just a couple of america's aircraft carriers alone could bring an end to the conflict within days, if not hours.

if north korea had T-90s, they might stand a chance, but the majority of their armored core consists of older soviet era vehicles that simply cannot stand against the abrams.

the frontal armor of an M1 abrams is sufficiently strong to resist fire from a 120mm anti tank gun firing high velocity fin stabilized discarding sabot anti tank ammunition. the only way anything less powerful than a 125mm cannon that has a snowball's chance (and even that is hypothetical, the M1 may well be resistant to the 125mm) of getting through it's armor is if they flank the tank and hit it in it's weaker side or rear armor, and even it's side armor is pretty strong. most of the few times M1s were disabled in combat was when they were struck in their sides and read by friendly fire from powerful 120mm cannons mounted on other tanks.

honestly, of the three nations that are a possible threat to the US, only russia would come close, and they wouldnt have any real reason to attack us, and vice versa. even if china or north korea were, the US has the most powerful navy by far, the largest and most technologically advanced air force, and one of the most heavily mechanized and modern ground forces in the world.

with our shitty corrupt government? yeah, the US is major a threat to itself. granted, ours is not nearly as corrupt as some countries, even some other first world countries, but it isnt pretty.

because stupid US leaders. politicians keep wanting to use the military to stick their noses in places where we really shouldnt be, and so everyone hates the US. the worst thing we've done to other countries in recent memory is kill extremist militant groups, causing some civilian casualties along the way in the name of freedom, while also being motivated by political and economic reasons. and by we, i mean the soldiers commanded by officers commanded by the government, controlled by politicians who dont necessarily speak for the people anymore.
