I'm glad you found the courage to do so. I wish I had the same courage, but I'm afraid that if my mother found out I was straight that she'd get me an estrogen perception.

I'm anti gay pride. I support people's right to be homosexual or transgender, but I am straight pride all the way. Not because I'm proud to be straight, but because it's funny and counter culture. The fact that people get so pissed off is what makes it fun.

Let them live their lives while I live mine. When we die, God will sort us all out.
5
It's hillarious. I want to organize a straight pride parade because this is gold and I want to be a part of this.
4
We don't want an ally parade, we want a straight pride parade. We are proud of our sexuality and it is something to celebrate.
4
It's okay to be a straight tomboy. I'm straight and I find tomboys attractive. You don't need to cut your body parts off just because of your preferred asthetic. Ignore the weird rainbow activists and be whatever suits you.
3
She's on the rainbow side, but she wasn't that obnoxious about it. These days, most news organizations would never show the actual parade because it would just show how humorous and fun the gathering is. Most news organizations would just say that it was a hate filled event and depict everyone who attended as a bigot.
3
Being straight is a very important part of my identity. I'm even considering changing my avatar to the straight pride flag to show how proud I am to be straight.
2
Careful, if your mother is too liberal, she might start putting estrogen in your food.
2
What is wrong with celebrating being straight? The whole point of the pride movement is to celebrate being gay, why do you think they labeled it the pride movement? People have a right to be proud of their identities, don't be a bigot.
2
A few loud ones can spread a lot of hate. A handful of people spreading messages like "kill all the straights" or "I hate straight people" are allowed to speak without being censored when everyone knows the inverse would not be true. I'm not advocating for censorship, but being gay is protected by society in a way that being straight is not. You can be openly attacked for the latter, but not the former.
2
How is it controversial? Shouldn't people be allowed to celebrate their identities? We have gay pride, trans pride, pedo pride, why not straight pride?
2
Why would he be joking? Straight people should be proud of their identities.

Luigina Trotta How so? They can marry. Businesses are forced to serve them regardless of the business owner's beliefs. Gay rights actually take precedence over freedom of speech an other rights. Hell, saying you're gay on your resume can increase your chance of getting hired. If there is discrimination, it tends to go in favor

@Toto-cl8rw White people in America face discrimination on college admissions, job applications, and in other places. Asians face similar types of discrimination, although they are not a majority. There is an idea called "progressive stack" where anyone who is deemed to be "advantaged" for belonging to a certain racial group is actively discriminated against. Some companies will go out of their way to hire minorities even if they are less qualified for the job. Some colleges actually require higher test scores for white and asian students in order to gain admission. Those in favor of this type of discrimination define racism through woke framing, thus they call it "anti-racist discrimination", but it blatantly does discriminate on a racial basis. Note, a large number of white leftists are okay with being discriminated against due to guilt and shame for being white. Trying to discriminate against a majority population does not usually work without, at minimum, the complacency of the target population.
2
@Toto-cl8rw It's not exactly a hidden fact. The progressive left actively champions race based admissions. I find it surprising that you can't think of a single example of it, although that may be my on bias on being more politically aware than most. Pretty much any time you hear the word "equity" used in place of equality, that is a sign that they intend to discriminate against one or more groups of people. This is because equity refers to equality of outcome, which means they want every group to have an equal number of doctors, engineers and researchers. They achieve this most frequently through some kind of discrimination, sometimes race or sex. Surely you've heard a company announcing that they intend to "diversify" their staff? That usually means some kind of discrimination against the majority of whatever attribute they want more diversity in. LGBT people are sometimes hired by woke companies for public appearance purposes alone, regardless of their actual skills as a worker. Progressive discrimination is not regulated to race alone.

It's funny, it's fun, and it's fresh because it's counter culture. The rainbow pride movement is supported by every major corporation turning their logos rainbow colored every June. The fact that the straight pride movement gets so much backlash for being counter-culture is what makes it fun.
1
I don't condone the homophobia, nor do I condone heterophobia. There are some bad apples in every movement. Personally, I fully support the straight pride movement, but that doesn't mean I hate anyone who isn't straight. I support everyone's right to celebrate their identity.
1
Being straight is a very important part of my identity, and I'm glad that we had a parade to celebrate the fact that I am attracted to people of the opposite sex.
1
That'd deep man. Straight people really are awesome. Maybe straight lives do matter after all.
1
@defyinggravity2 Yeah, and their babies are genetic freaks with a higher chance to have all kinds of genetic illnesses.
1
Let God do the judging. It's not man's place to pass moral judgement on his fellow man. We can stop others from being harmed by the immoral actions of men, but temptation is a part of life. Without evil, there could be no temptation, and no free will.
1
Being straight is a very important part of my identity. I have straight pride bumper stickers, I attend straight pride parades, and I raise my children to be straight, because it's okay to be straight.
1
@wendylederer367 Maybe they don't hate gays and they're just trying to have a good time while poking fun at how ridiculous it is to throw a parade to celebrate sexuality.
1
@ianjohnson1723 Oh, is that why men in thongs twerk in front of children? In remembrance of gay people who killed themselves? That all makes sense now, thanks for clearing that up.
1
Yes

The best weapon to fight against the progressive agenda is humor. Mock them, make fun of them, point out the absurdity of their movement in humorous ways.
1
@portopilzi I can't say I know what you've been through, but cities in general are disgusting hellholes of woke progressivism and other forms of mental illness. People hate each other in cities. There's no love there. Something about people being crammed into little concrete boxes next to each other causes them to go insane. I've seen openly gay couples live happily in rural southern states, but in deep blue cities (all cities are blue, even in red states,) everyone hates each other by default.
1
@portopilzi Maybe. Or maybe she was just raped. Sometimes people just do bad things. Most of the worst things that happen aren't because of bigotry. And sometimes they are. I just don't assume that by default. If I did, I'd probably be a progressive.
1
@geraltshmm5750 It's not controversial, it's freedom of speech. Anyone can celebrate and show pride for their sexuality, or their race for that matter. Yeah, I don't either, but I see a lot of pedo pride flags flying at parades. The MBLA is a thing. There's the "we're coming for your children" video by the gay men's choir. Pedophiles are a part of the gay pride movement now, deal with it.
1
It is. It's hilarious and I love it. The fact that people get so angry about people expressing their identity is what makes it funny.
1
It's okay for a man to love a woman and a woman to love a man. Don't be a bigot, straights are people too.
1
I agree, I think gay pride parades are weird and obnoxious. They're not convincing anyone with them. That being said, I won't advocate for stopping them, or straight pride parades for that matter. It's their right to organize if they want to, even if it's mildly annoying.
1
Yes, there is a gay agenda. Not all gay people are in on it. It's just a front for the progressive agenda which is largely socialist and collectivist. That being said, the best way to fight back is peacefully with demonstrations that point out the absurdity of their agenda. Humor is the best weapon against authoritarianism.
1
Oh say can you see?
1
The gay pride movement isn't cool anymore. It has too much establishment support. Every corporation turns their logo to a rainbow for June. Straight pride is counter culture, it's edgy, fun and humorous. Lighten up a little and have some fun.
1
@dolliegore9715 Are you siding with the rainbow colored mega-corporations who celebrate gay pride while producing cheap goods with slave labor in poor countries?
1
@nadial8531 I have first hand seen LGBT (mostly T) members encouraging children to explore their sexuality. Children. I've outright seen transgenders telling children that they are trans. I've had transgenders tell me that I'm trans. These people don't belong around children, or autists, or anyone else who is easily suggestable. They are groomers. I don't hold anything against individuals for the actions of others, but I am largely suspicious of the group as a whole and for good reason. If these activists had their way, they would put 12 year olds on hormones.
1
I'm straight and proud. I also advocate for peace. No one has the right to cause harm to another regardless of their sexuality.
1
The modern pride movement is a joke. I learned about the stonewall riots on my own terms because I was never taught them. Gay rights was an important battle, but now gays are equal to straights under the law. The modern pride movement has become a skinsuit for progressivism. I harbor no ill will towards homosexuals or transgenders, but I don't support the pride movement.
1
Luigina Trotta Gays an straights are both not oppressed in the US anymore. We have equal rights for all. Some end up better off than others because some people are just more successful.
1
Lord help you if you try to come out as straight to progressive parents.
1
Why not show your pride with a parade? I'm proud to be straight. It's fun and funny to trigger people's anger by being counter-culture.
1
@GoodFellasPizza08 Because some people want to tread. Your rights are a problem when they hurt my feelings.
1
It's funny though.
1
No, it's not just okay. It's something to take pride in. We should hold parades about how proud we are of our sexuality. We build our entire identities around being straight, and we need to tell the whole world how we're coming out as straight, and any backlash we face is proof that we still have work to do normalizing heterosexuality.
1
Straights are people too. We deserve to be proud of our identity. Let's host a parade and piss everyone off, it'll be funny.
1
Neither are gay people in the US. I've looked far and wide and the most hateful anti-rainbow rhetoric I can find coming from actual people (not anonymous social media profiles) is "I don't support it, but it's their right to do that."
1
@Toto-cl8rw Okay, apparently Youtube won't let me reply to you in a proper manner, it deleted my comment. Youtube does heavily censor it's comments section, so there's a limit to what I can say without getting auto-censored. I'll say this, regardless of what you may have seen, it is a fact that college admissions offices and hiring managers often discriminate based on race. Progressive companies actively seek to hire minority job candidates over non-minorities, often disregarding meritous factors such as experience in the field and education level. Although this is not practiced universally, it is becoming increasingly common, especially in more progressive industries.
1
@Toto-cl8rw Sure, that's fine. There are other issues in the world to worry about. Everyone's biggest concern should be their own wellbeing and the wellbeing of those closest to them. In any case, I wish you farewell.
1
@thereisnonegoodbutgodjohn363 Dude, get a life. Praying on street corners isn't doing you any favors with the lord. You're just seeking attention and nobody thinks highly of you for it.
1
@TheGamingMEL0N The joke is that liberal mothers want to trans/ gay their kids.
1
@chelly5911 You can never know these days.
1
Agreed. Like the shark said. Everyone's lives matter, except for socialists.
