@GeneralLizations 2A exists to form militias. It's right there in the text. The ability to stockpile 30 guns and train a dozen people in my neighborhood how to use them effectively in case of a threat, foreign or domestic, is very clearly protected conduct. It's literally what it was written for. The entire purpose of the courts is to interpret the law. When rouge agencies start interpreting the law, they have become an unelected 4th branch of government, it throws the power out of balance. Our system isn't perfect, but completely ignoring how things are supposed to work and giving unchecked power to bureaucrats puts you on the fast track to unchecked tyranny. If you don't like the rulings, either deal with it and play by the rules, or come out and admit that you don't care about the rule of law and just want to achieve your goals through any means, rule of law be damned.

@tanepukenga1421 It's not a bribe, it's a gratuity. The court didn't say it wasn't a crime, they said he was charged with the wrong crime. And yes, most people are wrong because the media is lying to discredit the court.

Sigh Dude, bribery is not legal. It's a talking point made up by MSNBC and CNN. All the court did was say that there is a legal difference between bribery and a gratuity. Both are illegal, but the court told the prosecutor that they charged the defendant with the wrong crime. It's like if you got a parking ticket for jaywalking. Both are illegal, but the officer needs to charge you with the correct offense or the court will throw it out.

They're interpreting the law the way it was written and intended. I don't like that presidents can't be charged for ordering air strikes on hospitals or having American citizens assassinated, but that's how the law is written. You can vote for conservatives who will preserve the government's power, or progressives who will expand it. You have no legal option to reduce the power of the government.
