  1. In our strange world, liberalism has become a conservative value because the modern left has become anti-liberal. I'm a classical liberal myself, my views haven't changed, but I find myself sliding further to the right over time as the left becomes more extreme. I held your perspective a while back, but I grew out of it as I became better informed. Conservatism can be repressive, but most of the worst atrocities of the past century have been perpetuated by various kind of left-leaning statist ideologies. No, the Nazis were not far-right, their ideology was very similar to that of the Soviet Union, just a bit more racist.

  2. The world has gone mad, but families are the solution. There are many institutions and practices which are trying to tear families apart, and there are some who seem to push these policies deliberately.

  3. Two institutions form the bedrock of a moral society. These are religion and the family. We can criticize these institutions, but it is undeniable that without them, society descends into madness.

  4. People need something to believe in. Everyone believes in something. If not a god, then they find something else to worship. Rule of law is not a suitable replacement for religion. In fact, worshipping the state is what led us to some of the very worst ideologies of the 20th century.

  5. We don't have capitalism today. What we have is a corporatist system not dissimilar from fascism. As technology makes workers obsolete one field at a time, we need to find some kind of solution, but socialism is absolutely not the way to go. Socialism has killed too many people, and it will do so again if we allow it to. I'm not wise enough to have the solution, but I can say for sure what doesn't work.

  6.  @dcterr1  Fascism, National Socialism, Stalinism, Maoism, Corporatism, no socialist ideology has ever been good. The fundamental problem with socialism is that it puts absolute or near-absolute power into the hands of the unaccountable state. It is a totalitarian ideology by it's very nature. "Scandinavian socialism" is not true socialism, it is a mixed economy. It combines some aspects of capitalism and some of socialism. It's much worse than pure capitalism, but not quite as bad as pure socialism. The US is just as deeply into socialism as the Scandinavian countries, the government just prioritizes fighting countless proxy wars instead of providing free health care for it's citizens. We have few modern working examples of capitalism in the world today. Capitalism, as an economic model, has already been abandoned in favor of socialism. Socialism, and eventually totalitarianism is the inevitable conclusion of democracy.

  7.  @dcterr1  Dude, reading Marx doesn't make you smart. The guy was a fucking prick and his writing are responsible for 100 million deaths. There is absolutely nothing redeemable about the guy. His theories are all hot garbage. He was literally just a loser who was so dead set on being a waste of flesh that he made an entire ideology to justify his right to leech off of productive members of society. Nothing good ever came of Marx, and him "disagreeing with me" is probably a good sign.

  8.  @dcterr1  Well, Youtube stealth deleted my reply to you. Marx sucks. Everything about his ideology is bad. His broken ideology lead to 100 million deaths. I won't go into the amount of detail I did previously since Youtube will probably just delete my reply again.
