  4. Because it's depressing and feels too large for anyone to do anything about. I can't exactly blame them, I hate this subject. I hate talking about it, hate hearing about it, hate anything even tangentially related to it. Even hearing the words "climate" and "change" used individually now send a cold shiver down my spine, out of sheer pavlovian conditioning. I watch this because I don't like burying my head in the sand, but i always walk away more miserable and more detached from my life than i began. It's come to a point where I flat out ignore climate reports, because they invariably say what i already believe - humanity is fucked, and reading about how fucked humanity is just makes me more depressed and less effective.
