  1. Reminds me of the manga industry, where they impose brutal deadlines and requirements that'll wear out all but the most crazy talented freaks of nature. I don't think anybody should feel bad about consuming this content, but they should definitely demand better for the people who make the magic happen. It's such a sprawling industry though that I don't know how industry-wide regulations can be effectively employed.

It's really unhealthy and exploitative, and the passion of young people entering the industry doesn't change that. The only reason the industry is this way because people let the companies get away with it.

  4.  @hsnrb9959  Nothing will get done if you make people feel bad about the content they consume - it's not really their fault and it'll just shut them down to the issue. If you give them openings to support, say, legislation regulating the excesses of the industry and raise a big stink when the industry tries lobbying against it, you could give them a good opening to help reform the industry for the better.

  5. To be honest, the fans are probably like that because the companies facilitate that behaviour through how they engineer the kpop personalties, because hey, a crazy dangerous obsessive is still a customer.
