Honestly if I ever get to that point, I''d seriously consider checking out. I hope whatever family I'll have then doesn't take it personally, I just refuse to let myself be that much of a burden.

@RyuuOujiXS That's not really fair. You're asking someone to end their own life, which runs against basically every primal instinct we have. I personally would hate being a burden enough to consider going through with it, but I don't hold it against those who don't.

yeah this video is pretty amerocentric. i wonder if the milennials and zoomers will grow up to be as interesting seeing the challenges they face?

@Hudini12345 ...that's why i said i'd "seriously consider" it, i don't know what my mindset will be but i do know that i really hate being a burden. the rest of your rambling is irrelevant and feels like maybe you should talk to a professional instead of shouting at people about vaccines over the internet.

@louisinese I'll tell you something I wish I internalised at your age - do not underestimate the power of networking. You'd be amazed at how far people skills and knowing a guy who knows a guy can get you even with no formal training. I've had far more job opportunities come up in casual conversations with people than I ever did sending out resumes. It sucks and it's unfair, but the job market is utterly broken and the powers that be have few if any plans to fix it, so there is no shame in using nepotism to bypass this broken system we've been left with, better you (someone who probably cares about doing a good job) than someone less competent.

@louisinese If you haven't already, I'd suggest you read How to Win Friends and Influence People. I'm pretty sure its public domain so you could find a pdf online easily. Good luck.
