This is why I have so much trouble shopping for clothes. I just want something nice, simple and durable, but the garbage they have in the stores basically limits me to Levis, military surplus and workwear.

@danshakuimo Lucky. I couldn't find surplus boots that fit me, so i just rotate between running shoes and some super comfy hiking boots.

@dalegribble7939 My personal experience is those are either quite tough to find or so compromised in quality as to not be worth it. Where do you shop? taking notes here haha

maybe it’s different where you are but where I an men approaching women on the street is still fine as long as you’re not creepy about it.

@JD-jl4yy You know, it’s funny. I had a stomach flu about a month ago. Those are pretty miserable - 1-2 days straight of vomiting and crapping your guts out into a toilet. And I remember as I was scream-vomiting into that toilet at 4 in the morning, completely alone with nobody to help or even comfort me, I kept thinking nearly any mundane moment in my life was pure bliss compared to right now. It made me appreciate not being in horrible pain, barely able to breathe between gag reflexes and being dehydrated, not knowing when I’d be able to keep down a full glass of water next. Being in good health seemed like a blessing at that moment. And you know what? I barely remember the pain of that night at all. I’ve mostly gone back to taking my health for granted, even if I try not to. It’d probably be different if I went through something truly traumatic, but it’s just funny how quickly the human brain adjusts its expectations.
