Oh, and it's been known that the Earth has been round since about the 6th century. And the miasma theory was propagated by the rich who didn't want to spend money on fixing the infrastructure that made cholera widespread, the same way the rich and shills like you deny climate change to avoid the necessary work required to avert the worst of it.

  4. Oh, and about being "arrogant" enough to think we can change the weather. It's well known that we've been able to wipe out most of life on earth with nuclear bombs since the 60s, and that'd include changing the weather with the very likely nuclear winter That's not ego, it's scientific fact.

Research jobs pay very little compared to industry jobs, the people who pursue that path typically only do it for the love of learning or to make their mark on human knowledge. Oh and also that there's no evidence for what you're suggesting. None. If anything the US government would want to hush hush climate change research considering who's in charge.

  11. And as for your claim, the climate has warmed and cooled in the past, but it doesn't change for no reason, there's always a cause, and as it so happens scientists are almost unanimous on what's causing the current climate change.

  15.  @HenrikoMagnifico  It'll be very bad for most of the world's populace and is already terrible for the environment. The rising sea levels are already threatening island nations and will threaten coastal cities worldwide. Low lying countries are especially under threat for obvious reasons. All these things would have knock-on effects for you, even if you personally don't live in a warm area or a coastal city. Not to mention that places like Siberia have tons of extra methane trapped under the ice. If enough melts for it to get out, well... Needless to say, you'd have a lot more problems than being "cold as heck".
