And this was far from the only successful african kingdom. This was while Europe was still a poor feudal disease-ridden mess. You can argue this doesn't change that they are undeniably behind today, but how about you actually do some research instead of assuming Africa never had civilization?

Think about it: if you're a wealthy, well educated person in a stable economic environment, would you be all that willing to take an economic and time hit by having 2+ kids? Sure, you may want a kid, but few well off people would go for having 3 or more.

  12. You should try counter-trolling. If you come across a troll in a comment section, hashtag, feed or whatever, you start mocking them directly without engaging with whatever they want you to. They're generally not used to being mocked back this way so they either get mad, and go into a dumb flame war with you and you alone, or abandon the thread and try somewhere else. You can then chase them around basically reverse-bullying them until they give up and leave. It's incredibly amusing if you have the spare time for it. Even better is encouraging the troll's original targets to join you in laughing at the troll, turning them into a communal e-pillory.

  13. Not really, this is an economic problem, overpopulation is more of an environmental problem. Just because it's not quite as simple as "Too many people = bad" doesn't make it wrong. In fact, most truths have many little caveats like that.

  17. Actually, it's Emilio Estevez Estevezezzz It's definitely going to be a positive for humanity in the long run imo but fuck I'm not looking forward to living through the rise of automation. I guess we just have to try and stay ahead of the AI curve and pray that we can find a new economic system to pull our asses out of the fire before it catches up.
