  1. Why do you think it's evil? Allowing churches to be tax-exempt is already ridiculously generous as it is, and they're free to speak out on issues if they give it up. Fair is fair, the public should not pay to allow churches to rally on issues they may not agree with.

  2. E Johnson Your problem seems to be more fundamentally with taxes than the johnson amendment. That is a completely different conversation, but tell me: under a system where taxing is considered moral, is it fascism to go after a church that is political yet refuses to pay taxes when every other political organisation pays taxes? And please don't engage in whataboutism, that's an old communist tactic to muddy the waters and deflect personal failings with the failings of others.if there are other organisations that are political yet tax exempt then that is a problem, but it doesn't make tax exempt political churches any less of an issue.

  3. E Johnson The churches are already tax-exempt, yet you think you're being oppressed because you're not allowed to both rally and keep that tax exemption. The public should not be forced to pay for churches to become political organisations that they may be against.

  4. Larry Carter Christians can and do have influence, shit their churches are tax-exempt. They have more rights than political organisations, so if they want to become a political organisations they need to give up those privileges.
