Dude gives me serious Saul Goodman vibes

@teodormaciuca8688 idk man, the justice system's supposed to separate the guilty from the innocent, so intentionally lying and playing to the jury to protect an obviously guilty woman, it's just wrong.

She's an expert manipulator and that makes her arrogant enough to think she can smoothtalk her way out of this.
44
@teodormaciuca8688 I'm pretty sure he could've done his job in a less unethical way
36
She'd be terrifying if she was smart enough to realise this was a losing situation and keep her trap shut, or hell, not get caught in the first place.
32
I feel like any innocent person would respond to "would you like to see some pictures [of your murdered ex]?" would be FUCK NO. The way she tries to signal her grief in this overly theatric way is so obvious
32
@narcisis4147 Except he displayed no attempt at self preservation during the interrogation, he admitted to everything. That's what really gets me.
29
It's like she's so used to being able to talk her way out of anything she cannot conceive not being able to manipulate an officer interrogating her. It's both hilariously stupid and incredibly unsettling.
25
It's like anime logic, I'm surprised she didn't say Travis dodged the bullet using Shadow Clone Jutsu and she had to go Super Saiyan just to take him down.
22
Honestly, makes me wonder why we even bother with death penalties when it's way cheaper to just keep them locked up. Let this little idiot be some convict's punching bag for the rest of his sad life.

I feel like I would be a stuttering mess in that room, but iirc your brain usually cuts back on the chemicals that cause stress when you’re already under an enormous amount. It’s why if you’ve ever bombed an exam and you know it, you usually feel okay right afterwards. It’s a defense mechanism to keep you from being completely overwhelmed.
15
@carmeloshin Yeah, I think the murders are indefensible but it's hard not to have sympathy for her. What she did was horrible but I don't think she deserves 25 years - well over a quarter of her life, taken away for it. I'm not saying she should just be set free, but I feel like some sort of rehabilitative justice would do some good here instead of just locking her up.

@OP-qs2kt I'm sorry if this sounds accusatory, but I promise I'm asking in good faith - why can't Asian people cut abusive family out of their life the way Westerners can?
9
@narcisis4147 I know, but even a psychopathic person would try to say whatever they think the other person wants to hear to get them off the hook, right? Even if they themselves don’t understand what they did wrong they’d surely understand the consequences of their actions, right?

She's arrogant enough to think she can just smoothtalk the officers into believing her innocence, she probably did that all her life and it not working is unthinkable to her, which is why she keeps trying new angles long after it's obvious she's not going to get out of this.
7
She's a young, pretty, charismatic white woman. Only box that she doesn't check for someone that'd get away with something like this is "rich", and I suspect she would've gotten away with it if she was.
6
@literallysteel IMO thats even more reason to laugh in his face. Dude wants to think he's this badass scary murderer, laughing reminds him he's a pathetic cowardly lowlife. He isn't just not a threat without his guns, he's a joke .
4
Of all the criminals on this channel, she definitely seems to be among the most redeemable. She's pretty much the only one I'd actually be happy to (eventually) see living a normal-ish life on the outside.
4
You're expecting rational thinking from a school shooter, there's your problem.
3
I’d straight up pay money to see that video, if only to watch JCS spiral into madness.
3
The murders are completely indefensible, but the parents abuse somewhat dampen my sympathy for them. I guess the takeaway is that old adage - "The child who is not embraced by the village will burn it down to feel its warmth"
3
If you ever end up in an interrogation room there's exactly two things you should ever say: 1. Am I free to leave? (If they do not give a straight answer, repeat until they do) and if you aren't free then 2. I want a lawyer. (Again, repeat until they comply) Saying anything else can and will get you into trouble.
3
I'm an atheist but that fake Christian virtue signalling is still infuriating. These interrogators have the patience of a saint.
2
@seanspencer7851 Life sentences are actually way cheaper than death sentences because of the associated legal costs, and his life would be fucking miserable inside a cell.
2
@seanspencer7851 That “overwhelming evidence of guilt” is established by the court, and it’s not a “what if”. Even now mistakes have been made. Innocent people have been executed. Your idea would mean even more of that.
2
I would've been hard pressed not to start openly mocking him right then and there.
1
To be fair you can swear on other things, it's just the default option. I still think thats a little problematic but not quite as bad.
1
@kai1ey They didn't deserve to die, but if Jennifer just cut them off completely from her and any family she raised they'd 100% deserve it.
1
@seanspencer7851 the legal costs to ensure you don’t hang an innocent man aren’t.
1
@seanspencer7851 What happens if one or even some of those convicted killers and child touchers end up being innocent with later evidence? The state will have committed murder on innocent people - just about the worst thing a justice system can do. I get wanting to be rid of these people, but these legal checks and balances are in place for a reason. And it's not like they're having a good time behind bars.
1
Imagine screwing up an interrogation so bad that your suspect walks free while you’re taken to court.
1
@XViTNg I never said we should "send bad people to jail without 100% certainty", I'm saying it's really fucked up that this guy got a guilty woman off in such a slimy unethical way.
