@Volleyball_Chess_and_Geoguessr It being old doesn't make it untrue, but the Bible, if taken literlaly, is factually untrue,. Historians are generally careful to weed out mythologising of historical figures, and extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

 @MrMichaeledavis83 Testimonial evidence is plenty enough for say, a murder or a theft, but we're talking about how the universe began. The standard of evidence for that is much, much higher.

@MrMichaeledavis83 I never said it was an entity, in fact I never made a conclusion. The fact is, we just don't know what happened before the Big Bang, for all we know the universe is eternal but it goes through an endless cycle of expansion and contraction. In fact Occams Razor would imply that is the simplest explanation.

@MrMichaeledavis83 You say that as if the Big Bang theory and a cyclical universe are incompatible. I'll concede that point regarding entropy though.
