Nobody is saying that the world ends in 10 years, 2030 is the deadline for when +2 degrees warming becomes inevitable. Life on earth will become much more difficult at that point..

J K I’m pretty sure capitalists developed that - they want happy little wage slaves

AbundantlyClear we were “expecting” a livable salary.

@spongefreddie So you know better than the climate scientists huh? May I ask what relevant training you've had?
1
@ykcubevan4893 You and probably everyone you know will be included in that "softie" equation. Is that okay with you?
1
@ykcubevan4893 Yeah he's not paid to tell the truth. Eactly
1
CuriosityFTW you do realise that most climate research jobs pay very little, right? if they wanted to get rich, securing funding for climate research is just about one of the worst ways to go about it. I love how you people just assume the worlds climate scientists are in on this gigantic conspiracy with basically no evidence, like they’re some sort of magic borg hive mind.

Ykcub Evan Again. Assumption. Assumption. Assumption. You know nothing about what I believe yet speak confidently on it anyway. Unless you believe science is leftist?
1
@ykcubevan4893 who is candace

@billybob1114 I don't know, ask them. and unfortunately a political campaign practically requires you to fly to get your message out. that doesn't really undermine the truth of climate change
1
@billybob1114 That is true, but human psychology means that you usually need to personally go out and meet people to form a connection. If that wasnt necessary, do you really think other candidates would waste god knows how many millions flying all over the place? For one, China and India aren't going to listen to random western scientists yelling at them to lower their CO2 emissions, change needs to start where you are - I've become painfully familiar with that fact. Second, you really don't - you're just assuming what these scientists do & think
1
billy bob that’s great for you, but climate change requires systemic changes. I have dramatically changed my life because of it, but personal action simply isn’t enough
1
free roamer Do you think you know better than the climate scientists who say that the ongoing climate change is manmade - Yes or No
1
free roamer 90%+ of science is by definition, not “alternative”
1
@ykcubevan4893 oh that's rich, we grow up with our elders insisting that we need a degree for a good life and trades are for losers, and now when none of what we were promised has panned out, we're called greedy for following their advice. and trades aren't the magical automatic good pay jobs you insist they are, they can be just as exploitative as the more mainstream work options depending place, industry and laws.
1
@ykcubevan4893 In an exploitative field you work hard and earn close to nothing. That's the point. What "lie" am I believing?
1
@ykcubevan4893 Wrong on every single count. Your little caricature is so off-base that there's more differences to me than similarities. How about you stop arguing with that little cartoon strawman Prager's put in your head and start talking with the actual person you're typing at?
