  1. I think even the anti-immigration folks should be against this policy. Simply put, better education and health services in these countries = better quality of life. better quality of life = more stable nations. more stable nations = better alternatives for refugees to flee to than Europe. Also better quality of life means lower birth rate, so Europe is less able to be "replaced" by outsiders.

  2. Augusto Pinochet How is this policy "bankrupting" the US? It's plenty easy to tell a continent to "get its shit together", but this is just one pragmatic method of reducing the refugee load on Europe. Don't you want less refugees going into Europe? Actions define the future, not words.
