  2. In my uneducated opinion it seems unlikely, but the 1918 influenza started off as relatively mild disease before becoming a deadly juggernaut of disease that swept through the world. It could happen again if given enough time to mutate.

  3. Closing the borders was purely political, it would at best delay COVID's spread into the U.S without social distancing measures and testing - which the U.S is still lagging at.

  4.  @CiaraB429  You didn't read my reply properly. My entire point was that Trump closing the borders was purely political because he didn't bother doing anything else to prepare until it was right on top of us.
