Huskies are also infamous for throwing massive tantrums. They’re surreal to watch, like human toddlers in a dog’s body.

@amorhana578 Does it not concern you that it's melting much faster now than before? Gee, I wonder what could've caused that.
2
Blatzor I don’t care about whatever websites you’re insinuating, there have been repeated meta-studies into climate change consensus showing that its at bare minimum around 90%. Here’s just one i found off the top of my head. https://iopscience.iop.org/article/10.1088/1748-9326/11/4/048002
2
Marcus Williams other first world countries discourage capital punishment and also rarely have mass shootings. Want to guess why?
2
james j don’t forget the depraved degenerates that only care about money.
2
@TomoNewsUS there's literally not enough to go around over here. Medical professionals are practically begging us to donate them if we have any.
2
@Random Duck I wouldn't go that far, a lot of flat earthers are probably functioning members of society, but either so far in a fundamentalist bubble that these beliefs can survive unchallenged or maintain these beliefs by keeping quiet about them IRL and having a very specific fringe media diet.
2
USCG Mason those have a significantly lower death toll than the guns. Nice communist tactic (whataboutism) though
2
@stephenmiller9009 Yes, you use proxies and VPNs, but that limits youtube access in china to the technically aware.
2
@旮旯北京 How hard is it to actually work for the party itself? I think that's what the previous poster may have meant.
2
Adele Rountree I cant even make cannabis - it’s illegal here
2
I can't tell if this guy is Clinton 2.0 or Jeb 2.0
2
The higherups at the big oil companies and politicians who have stonewalled any progress against preventing climate change should legit be executed for treason tbh.
2
magoichi75 You wouldn’t believe how many things are carcinogenic. It’s legitimately terrifying at first when you look into it.
2
KRISTAL SUNUWAR Capitalism is to blame for China’s rise. Capitalism demands the cheapest possible price regardless of ethics, and China’s sweatshop labour simply allows them to do it cheaper. You will never get rid of China’s influence as long as capitalism is dominant.
2
Bad Wolf Most of that employment doesn’t provide livable wages, those regulation cuts - particularly environmental, are disastrous, the tax cuts disproportionately benefit the hyper-rich, and healthcare is in far worse shape than it was years ago. Trumps gone bankrupt something like 6 times too, he may be experienced but he’s definitely not competent. And none of these are even the things he’s done that Obama would’ve been run out of town for if he did.
2
@TomoNewsUS I wouldn't put enormous stock in that, but it's probably better than nothing.
2
haha LOL haha I’ve read around a bit, and homemade masks do reduce exposure, although they aren’t nearly as effective as medical grade masks. I think they’ll at least stop the droplets, but probably not the aerosols. Additionally, if you get sick it’ll stop you from spreading it around, which is the point of the lockdown after all - starve the virus out by depriving it new hosts.
2
gentblue it helps if you actually read the whole article.
2
But they’ll just burn down in the next bushfire.
2
Matt Mosley I think the hard plastic containers can stay if we can mandate reuse somehow.
2
@codeblackfanandthegooddoct7070 I can't say I have. Might be worth looking into - I cook all my lunches on Sunday and keep them in a glass container in the freezer. It's horribly inefficient space usage and makes my diet inflexible, but I don't like plastic wrapping lunches because that's wasting plastic and sometimes pieces tear off and stay in the food.

Nick Johansson The 12 year deadline is for when 2 degree warming becomes inevitable. That isn’t worldending but that is a serious deterioration of the ecology and sets the world on the path to ecological collapse. The west’s CO2 emissions dwarf all of those countries at this point in time, and have taken insufficient action to mitigate them. Whether or not they’ll follow suit is basically irrelevant since we just aren’t doing enough. The “weak men” creating “bad times” are worthless oil barons and their corporate shills who fight to preserve their “good times” by bankrolling climate denial and obstruction, and smear those who see the disaster we’re speeding towards, and are trying to swerve past it anyway they can.
2
@rapi-rapi I'm not being mislead and used, and the science is on my side. I'll say again - most of the CO2 emissions have been recorded coming from western countries, although I'll walk back that China has a very high CO2 emission rate. However the US is right behind it and Africa barely even registers as a blip on that map. I don't really care what you've seen when the numbers paint a different more accurate picture. I will reiterate that weak denialist men like you and your oil baron elites are making bad times for us all.
2
@sandmanbeaches565 You'd know this if you stopped following the media hype and actually learned how it works. AI is many things but it's still very far off from self awareness. It doesn't have to be self aware to rob the populace of work and reduce all but the rich elite and their bourgeois serfs to poverty, however.

Ken Kowalski I think it is if you add butter. I tried it once and I did get pretty high
1
milixe1 Good luck getting isopropyl now that folks are panic buying it all to make sanitiser lol
1
milixe1 where I am, it’s either highly inflated or flat out gone lol
1
Depends on what you mean, life expentancy now is much higher than any previous point in history, but obesity rates are through the roof. I guess the difference is that our ancestors had active industrial or farming jobs, while now that option isn't even available to a lot of people.

Fake news = Facts hurt my feelings

I think I do something similar, but when I’m working on something complicated I think in graphs, sort of. Like visual metaphors that consolidate the information into abstract objects and how they relate to each other.
1
Yes... and the reason these fires are getting more deadly is because of climate change.
1
Fred Knowells https://climate.nasa.gov/evidence/ That took like 3 seconds. Do us both a favour and please just look at the evidence before you type any more smug low IQ drivel. The worst thing about you climate deniers is that all your "arguments" are easily demolished, but you've got a million of them so you just try all of them until one sticks, without ever conceding how many times you were wrong.
1
Fred Knowells uh no... China is a state capitalist oligarchy, it hasn’t even resembled socialism for decades
1
Fred Knowells the “communists” are correct then, China is blatant state capitalism with soviet aesthetic,
1
Fred Knowells ...Except modern China isn’t communist. At all. For it to even be “not real communism”, it would actually have to be an attempt at communism; which it isn’t.
1
Fred Knowells I will, right after the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea
1
Fred Knowells Look above you, way up there in the sky is the point, soaring above your head. North Korea isn’t communist either, unless words don’t actually mean anything anymore.
1
Fred Knowells no, you’re just an idiot.
1
Fred Knowells “Marxism–Leninism is a political philosophy that seeks to establish a socialist state to develop further into socialism and eventually communism” Literally the first sentence in a google search. You couldn’t even get that right. Imbecile.
1
Fred Knowells You’re the one who doesn’t get it. You can’t have a free market system (which China has) and be communist at the same time. It’s a round peg in a square hole, no matter how many times you say the round peg is square. It’s Marxist-Leninist in that it attempted a move into communism at one point, but that ended decades ago, which is my point. This really, really shouldn’t be difficult.
1
Fred Knowells my “very slim definition” is what’s in the communist manifesto. Communism is meant to be classless and stateless, so no countries currently follow communism. The countries labelled as communist are more accurately called Marxist-Leninist, but most of them are arguably deformed workers states.
1
Fred Knowells That post is so idiotic i’m not even sure how to respond. Your reading comprehension and logic skills are appalling. I said there currently exists no communist states, not that there exist no communists. How you confuse those two statements baffles me.
1
Fred Knowells You can’t tell the difference between individual and state...? That is very concerning. Be honest - when did you get the lobotomy?
1
Fred Knowells those aren’t mutually exclusive. This is rapidly becoming repetitive and you have proven incapable of absorbing new information, so I’m done with you.
1
Not quite yet but the way climate change is heading that’ll probably end up happening
1
BRONZE AUSSIE It’s still been insanely hot over there this summer, far worse than considered normal. This is due to climate change.
1
BRONZE AUSSIE By “idiots” you mean pretty much every climate scientist out there...? I mentioned that the fire chiefs themselves said that thinking backburns wouldve stopped this disastrous fire was “emotional rubbish”, curiously you had no smartass response in that thread. Besides. The safe period to do back burning was also unusually dry which lead to fewer safe days to perform back burning. Again, due to climate change. Noticing a pattern here? Do you think you know better than the fire chiefs and the climate scientists - yes or no
