  9. Fred Knowells You’re the one who doesn’t get it. You can’t have a free market system (which China has) and be communist at the same time. It’s a round peg in a square hole, no matter how many times you say the round peg is square. It’s Marxist-Leninist in that it attempted a move into communism at one point, but that ended decades ago, which is my point. This really, really shouldn’t be difficult.

  10. Fred Knowells my “very slim definition” is what’s in the communist manifesto. Communism is meant to be classless and stateless, so no countries currently follow communism. The countries labelled as communist are more accurately called Marxist-Leninist, but most of them are arguably deformed workers states.
