  1. Yeah seriously, you don't have to be a mathematician to realize these Gen AI businesses are fundamentally unsustainable. Without some truly massive revolutions in energy production or a fundamental change in the way AI works, at some point this party's going to end. They're going to have to either massively jack up the prices and just hope people are too dependent on it to turn away or go bust. I don't think LLMs themselves are going to go away, but the massive companies may very well go down and drag the rest of us with them. Imagine the collapse of the Metaverse except way more economically destructive.

I know all about the 70s global cooling fad because you people never shut up about it. It was a hypothesis with a minority of scientific support that was blown up by the media. It never gained any traction and the only people who care are climate denialists determined to undermine uncomfortable facts. Don’t even bother with any of your other “reasons”. I’ve heard them all, I’ve repeatedly debunked them all. Our children’s future is fucked because of you people. Go to hell.

  5. I think what he meant is that music doesn’t see the same fundamental upheavals that a good part of the 20th century saw. There are trends and new genres but they scant change music for longer than a few years.
