Yeah seriously, you don't have to be a mathematician to realize these Gen AI businesses are fundamentally unsustainable. Without some truly massive revolutions in energy production or a fundamental change in the way AI works, at some point this party's going to end. They're going to have to either massively jack up the prices and just hope people are too dependent on it to turn away or go bust. I don't think LLMs themselves are going to go away, but the massive companies may very well go down and drag the rest of us with them. Imagine the collapse of the Metaverse except way more economically destructive.
