@Sithlordjedihunter I've no problem with unions as representatives of worker's rights, and to protect from employer exploitation...namely, the original purposes of unions. What we're currently seeing from Mick Lynch (and I strongly dispute the assertion that HE has any "union sympathies") is political agitation. These people earn a bloody sight better than I do, and I actually have to work for a living rather than sitting on my fat arse all day long.

Sack the flipping lot of them. I'm sure there are plenty of people who'd jump at the opportunity of being a train driver...it's got to be one of the easiest jobs going...

Absolutely right. Militant unions do no-one any favours. All they do is kill off the industry they purport to represent.

@Sithlordjedihunter The train companies are privatised, hence it's up to them to give pay rises, NOT "The Government". Of course, "The Government" is Mick Lynch's real target because he's all about political agitation. You've fallen for the propaganda exactly as intended, I'm afraid...

@bazbuncher6948 And how's the union going to help when they all get sacked and replaced? It happened to the air traffic controllers when they took industrial action...it can happen again. Geez, you people think you're all SO important, don't you? No-one's "irreplaceable". I'm going to watch this saga unfold with a great deal of amusement. I hope when you do find out "the hard way", you're going to remember that you shot yourselves in the foot, under the leadership of Mick Lynch.

@bazbuncher6948 None of the above. I'm just not a lefty drone who's too dumb to understand how they're being manipulated by a militant union that's using them as a pawn in their political agitation.
