  2. Nothing new here: GCHQ has been sneakily monitoring the internet searches/posts/emails (and snail-mail before that) of those on the "naughty list" for decades... ...the only difference is that it's been extended to the population as a whole.

How are our new crop of 16 and 17 year old voters going to be able to educate themselves enough to be able to make an informed decision in an election if they're restricted in what material they can access on line? If I didn't know better, I'd swear this whole thing is an exercise in control and brainwashing by a terrified government trying to "future proof" itself against the looming right wing backlash their absurd policies have created...
