  7.  @ScottishRoss27  There were county councils in Scotland and will be again. In case you're too thick to twig, I use the term "Scotlandshire County Council" as a derogatory term for the Scottish "Parliament". It's regarded as roughly equivalent to a county council south of the border. Westminster is not "foreign" to Scotland, and it's certainly not "irrelevant", since it's the ultimate authority in Scotland as it is in the rest of the UK. You'll see how "irrelevant" Westminster is to Scotland if it ever stops subsidising the Scottish economy to the tune of £300 billion per year. Also, when PM Liz Truss delivers her promised "Greater Scrutiny" of the Scottish "Government"...this is code for "What the hell's the SNP doing???" and "Whatever it is, we're going to start clamping down on it." And there's not a damned thing you can do about it...so much for "irrelevant". The recent event I'm referring to is fairly obviously (or at least, I would have thought it was fairly obvious...) is the death of the Queen and the consequent outpouring of royalist and unionist sentiment. You can also consider the playing of the National Anthem at Ibrox Stadium if you like. Why would "Indy Ref 2.0" go ahead? We already had a once-in-a-generation referendum in 2014 which conclusively put the matter to bed. It also won't go ahead because the SNP knows it won't win it! How does "no credible opposition" translate into "dictatorial grasp of the SNP"? I don't understand the question. Both are equally true. I've saved the best for last. Your hilarious misunderstanding of the numbers you quote. I mean you do understand, I take it, that the figures for the Scottish, Welsh and NI Assemblies are the national election results, whereas the figure for the Tory leadership (it's "Tory", by the way, not "Torie") is from just the membership of the Tory Party not the country as a whole? I honestly don't know whether you genuinely don't understand the distinction, or whether you're making a really ham-fisted attempt to bamboozle me. Anyway, I'm done with you. Like all the Scots Nats I've crossed paths with, you live in an absolute cloud-cuckoo fantasy land that bears no relation to reality, so there's little point in continuing to converse with you. You can wail and squirm as much as you like, but we both know the SNP has peaked and has blown any chance it might have had of independence. Too much fanatical lunacy.
