Why does this Susan Sontag person believe that...if history had taken a different a different turn and the Chinese (for example) had become the dominant global civilisation 500 years ago...they would have dealt with the rest of the world in any way differently from how the Europeans did? What makes white people "especially" wicked in her view? I think the only conclusion we can really draw is that Susan Sontag is a racist.
