  1. I don't think "The Modern World" is obsessed with homosexuality...I think a very tiny number of aggressive, vociferous "agenda-pushers" feel that "The Modern World" ought to be obsessed with homosexuality...

  2. "Pride" is totally irrelevant these days, since gay people lack no rights and are in no way discriminated against in the Western world. Unfortunately, I think "Pride" has probably morphed from its original purpose into being a money-making exercise. It order to keep itself "relevant" (IE, "profitable"), it has to invent homophobia where there is none....hence the manufactured idea that not having massive, flamboyant, ostentatious displays of "gay" at every available opportunity is somehow a "homophobic outrage".
