  1. Just about all of them in "sociology" and "humanities" departments, I'd say. In fact, I should imagine having the "correct" political ideology is an essential prerequisite to be allowed into such departments in the first place.

  2. I was a trainee teacher at the university of Birmingham about 15 years ago (a very left wing department in a very left wing university). We were required to read "academic" papers on the "theory of education". They were all absolute nonsense. All were full of the most absurd, convoluted language designed to hide the shallowness of the ideas; "facts" blatantly twisted to fit "pet theories"; no scientific rigour at all. These kind of places are all about creating and perpetuating an "agenda", and nothing to do with research or furthering understanding.
