I think modern Britain is not so much a "country" any more as a gigantic "park-and-ride" shopping mall/leisure complex run by a Managing Director rather than a Prime Minister. Everything is for sale (ie, nothing is "sacred"), the whole national agenda can think of no higher purpose than keeping morons amused...and moronic, the "leadership" want nothing more than to "not rock the boat too much" for a couple of years before they can butt out hopefully without having messed things up too much.

I don't know why this is "surprising" to anyone...it's been inevitable that was going to happen one day for years. No straight, white male Briton will get a look-in because the very fact of being a SWM Brit has been rendered completely "toxic" by the opinion-makers of social media. That's how messed up our world is.
