I'm not uncomfortable about talking about racism. As a white person, I have absolutely no scruples about saying that some of the most racist people I've ever encountered have been black.

As someone much wiser than me once said: "I'd rather 'microaggression' a black man than run the risk of being 'MACROaggressioned' by a black man."

One of the principal reasons (at least in the UK) for why black people get treated differently from white people by other white people is because many of them can't speak English to an acceptable level. Obviously, they're going to get treated differently as a result...because they can't be understood. Same applies to those of European origin who can't speak intelligible English.

The hallmark of the "Left Wing Intelligentsia": deliberately convoluted, obfuscating, jargon-laden language to disguise the fact that the argument they're putting forward is at best flimsy, or at worst an outright fabrication...and to deter "outsiders" from forming an opinion on the matter. You'll see the same pattern repeated across all the branches of the "Social Sciences".

@noelpucarua2843 I entirely agree. We (as a society) have got to get over this infantile notion that "only white people can be racist" and "only back people can be the victims of racism". It can come from anywhere and be directed against anyone.

@sebastianguerre6868 Absolutely agree...there's a lot of pressure to repress one's opinions if they don't conform to those of the people who believe they're the "moral majority". I think the trick is to speak as honestly as possible, and not "lose one's cool"... I think you might be surprised by how many people secretly agree with you, and are relieved to find they're not alone... When it comes to the crunch, irrefutable fact will always trump "woke" ideology, no matter how much they don't like it. The "race is a social construct" fallacy you mention is a good example.

@oldboygeorge7688 No. They were just deeply unpleasant people and I've no doubt they would have denied me my rights had they been in a position to do so. Which thankfully they weren't. This was before the days of "positive" discrimination.
