My anxieties about immigration are: 1) No-one is in control of the situation. Quite clearly. Tough talking by our leaders is all hot air. They won't reduce immigration, because they can't. We're past the point of no return. 2) There's a very ugly undercurrent of anti-white racism that's starting to pervade the immigrant population...it's all bound up with some pseudo-historical "justified resentment" at slavery and The Empire. It's becoming ingrained in the collective mentality, almost as if it's the old antisemitic fallacies extended to all white people. 3) The immigrant population have no loyalty to our nation, regardless of how otherwise "decent" they may be. If war broke out tomorrow with Iran (not as a ridiculous suggestion as it might have been 15 years ago), who do you suppose our Muslim population would side with? 4) And finally, an oldie but a goodie: our infrastructure cannot cope. The NHS is collapsing; our roads are in a perpetual state of traffic jam; there is no housing; there are no school places; our economy is stagnating. It's really not rocket science...

Yep. The immediate deployment of the weaponised "race card" (or "Islamophobia card", or "transphobia card" or "homophobia card", or whatever), whenever one of our "cultural enrichers" doesn't get their own way is definitely a hallmark of our times. I've been subjected to this sort of thing myself.

@d.d.4703 Absolutely. You see it all the time. "Certain demographics" with their shopping carts full to the brim of one particular item. Also, bottles of fancy booze stolen to order, only to be sold to "Mister Zeb's MicroMart" for junk money (no questions asked...).
