  2. These kinds of incidents are calculated specifically to cause maximum outrage amongst the native population. It's an attempt to "goad" people into retaliation against the perpetrators as a means of confirming their own prejudices, and as an attempt to kick off some kind of wider civil strife.

  3. I think these kinds of people actually need to perpetuate their sense of "resentment" and "victim status" by contriving these sort of incidents. Being "hated" keeps their own sense of "hatred" alive, which is probably the defining characteristic of an otherwise empty and fairly pointless existence.

  4. I suspect it's more a case of being "rhetorical" rather than "failing to put two-and-two together". Simon's clearly not stupid, and I think he probably has to be careful about what he explicitly states on YT for fear of being cancelled. We all know exactly what he means, after all, which kind of suggests that he's got his message across quite well...

  5. @Johnny Alucard I guess they're as mixed a bag as any other people. The ones I've encountered seem like pretty civilised and decent folk.
