  1. The "Traditional Explanation" may have been true 70 years ago, but it's hard to give it credit in the modern world. Black people may need to take a closer look at themselves, rather than simply making the easy excuse and blaming "the system" for their inability to thrive in Western countries. After all, people of south and east Asian origin seem to be doing pretty well for themselves in Western countries, so clearly "racism" can't be a major factor.
