  1. There's still not nearly enough easily accessible information of the illegal immigrants (I refuse to use terms like "unregistered" or "undocumented" migrants) in the public domain. For example: Where are they being accommodated? Are they still being put up in hotels? Are they "detained"? Is there any restriction on their movements, or are they free to come and go as they please? How, where and by whom are they "processed"? Who gets to decide whether they're "genuine" refugees or illegal immigrants? What criteria are used for assessing whether they're "genuine" refugees or not? What proportion of them are granted British citizenship? How much does it cost per head to deal with them? How much does it cost the taxpayer overall? What's happening to all the money we give the French? When's the Rwanda plan going to resume? How many are getting deported? I don't think any of these things are clear at all, presumably as a result of deliberate Home Office obfuscation. I hope Suella Braverman will be like a dose of salts, but I'm not holding my breath...
