Sorry Simon, but this is one of the rare occasions when I disagree with you: there's nothing remotely "clever" about what these historical revisionists do...it's extremely obvious that they deliberately seek out and grossly overexaggerate the images and accomplishments of the very rare non-native inhabitants of Britain before 1950. Either that or they outright lie. What's distressing is that the nonsense they come up with is allowed to fly largely unchallenged.
