  1. It was obviously a CIA backed propaganda stunt. The very next week, some East German students were found to be camping in the gardens of Buckingham Palace (presumably one of the most "secure" places in the UK...). A "revenge" prank for the humiliation suffered by the USSR, perhaps...?
